An Embarasing Moment In My Life

When I was in primary school, I had done something that really shameful. I was not good in Science. Every time during Science class, I would not pay any attention and sleep at the back of the class. The teacher also did not like me because I failed in Science subject whenever there were examination. My parents scolded and warned me to pass the Science paper for final exams. So I took that as a challenge. One day, I wanted to proof to my parents that I could pass for the exams. I studied hard until burned the midnight oil. Unfortunately, I woke up late and the school bus left me. I had to walk to school and it took for 20 minutes to arrive. The students entered the class and started theirs examinations. As I reached my class, everyone was staring at me. I felt the shame of being late and my teacher told me to sit down and began the examinations. I felt really tired because I ran all the ways. suddenly, I fell asleep and did not answer my Science paper. When I woke up, there was almost 9.20 a.m! I had only ten minutes to answered all the questions. I could not remembered anything that I had read last night. In panic, I tore my exam paper and shouted loudly. The students and teacher shocked with my behaviour and thought that I was hysteria. They rushedly came towards me and tried to calm me down. Then, the teacher asked me why I was being like that. I said that I could not answer the papers as I was fell asleep. Everyone laughed at me except my teacher. She was so angry. Luckily, she gave me one chance and warned me not to do so again. Once and a while, I still felt that some of the students were looking at me as I was an alien with their cynical smile. They really made me feel embarrassed that day. From that day, I promised to myself not to wake up late again. A proverb saying “ Once bite, twice shy.”
